A couple cops from a unit were beating a friend of mine for his sexuality. The system's fucked, reporting it would give him more shit than it's worth.
[ so he's hoping just finding or planting something to get them discharged from the force would be possible, over... you know, finding them in an alley way some night and kicking the shit out of them :'3333 ]
[ Nomi does some research. While it was difficult to put together any kind of historical reference on Eudio's network since there were so many different worlds people came from, the law of averages seemed to indicate most people came from a world 99% similar to their own. With some digging she found a name. ]
Lesben- und Schwulenverband in Deutschland, or LVSD. It's the most renowned Lesbian and Gay civil rights group in Germany. If you get in contact with them they might be able to put you in touch with other people who have had encounters with the same officers. If enough people speak out, you stand a decent chance of getting them fired or at least suspended.
[ he reads through the information, finds it useful, but at the same time, he knows the system, knows cops, knows the opinions of the more middle aged in those hard ass sort of professions. ]
If he goes with that, everyone will know it was him who snitched. He'll be looked down on more than he already is.
[ he considers it for a moment, not responding until several minutes later. no, he's not okay with that. kay's suffered enough. ]
I'll take care of it. Thank you.
[ aka, someone's going to be found in possession of coke or hookers or something worth being discharged, if he can actually find Kay in their world when they go home. it's not justice, really, but he's never really been concerned with the ideal of it. ]
But she knew that trying to topple someone from power was more about principle than practicality; it probably wouldn't make things better for you. The best you could hope for was the people left behind, the next generation, maybe being better off.
[ it's something more personal for him. like he'd told kala - there's things he'll never understand about the other sensates' worlds, and there's things they'll never understand about his. for one, suffering long term abuse. talking to kay, he'd found many things too familiar in him, and seeing bruises on a face identical to his, when he'd first come into eudio, fueled an old anger in him.
for wolfgang, that isn't martyrdom. that's allowing cruelty when something can be done about it. kay won't do anything about it himself - he's a good man and a good cop. he packed up and he left his own precinct and headed for a new one, hoping for a better chance.
wolfgang, however, like what will had relied on him to be, doesn't have the same moral complications. his world isn't grand ideals and justice. it's protecting things that should be protected, and removing things that don't deserve the place they have. wolfgang isn't kind and he isn't righteous - it's not something he expects any of the others to understand, but nonetheless, it's how he lives and the world he knows. ]
